About Hammersmith Therapy
The therapy process
Hammersmith Therapy is a consulting room centre in West London for psychotherapists and counsellors working in private practice.
Therapy works by gradually building trust and understanding between therapist and client / patient as it becomes clearer what the underlying issues are and what might be in need of attention. The therapeutic process aims to be supportive of this growing understanding and also of the necessary change and development that comes with it.
It is mostly open-ended as there is no clear timeline for such a process and we all develop our understanding at our own pace.
The building and the people
No. 34 Studland Street, Hammersmith is designed to be a confidential and reassuring place to come to, and for therapy to take place in.
Therapists working here at Hammersmith Therapy include integrative, psychoanalytic and psychodynamic therapists, child and adolescent and group therapists. Some of them also offer supervision for trainees and qualified therapists.
